Full Job Description

You will be responsible for the development and effective implementation of proactive brand and trade marketing strategies, with full UK visual representation and contributing to the on-going development of the Company strategy and delivery of the annual growth and operating plan for Clarins UK and myBlend.

This role is accountable for the creation and implementation of key marketing projects and campaigns. The development of Trade Marketing plans across all key retailers & e-retailers. Work with Supply chain on accurate forecasting for new and end of life product cycles, and all Sales Promotion items.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop the UK Marketing and Merchandising strategy, budget, and priorities.

  • Lead a team of marketing and merchandising professionals to ensure our brands are represented in a manner that reflects our core values.

  • Drive growth for both online and offline retail partners, leveraging their individual strengths.

  • Contribute to the UK leadership team's strategic plan, identifying growth accelerators and long-term goals.

  • Provide feedback to the Global Marketing teams on future projects, representing the UK perspective.

  • Oversee national marketing activities and new product launch plans.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Brand Marketing and other team members to develop compelling brand narratives and messaging.

  • Partner with the Senior Manager Partnership Marketing to identify and execute strategic partnerships that drive brand visibility and sales.

  • Work closely with the Senior Trade Marketing & Customer Experience Manager to optimize in-store experiences and drive foot traffic.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Store Design & VM Manager to ensure retail spaces are visually appealing and aligned with brand standards.

  • Oversee the myBlend Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the myBlend brand.

  • Analyse sales data and marketing performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the marketing and merchandising functions.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build relationships and stay informed about market trends and opportunities.

    Credible both internally and externally as a result of a strong track record of brand marketing and business development with equivalent of 10 years' experience at a senior level.

  • Commercially astute with "a finger on the pulse of the market" capable of spotting trends, identifying key business opportunities, with meticulous attention to detail and an absolute focus on the consumer.

  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written and a confident, convincing, and experienced presenter who can communicate at all levels.

  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Excellent analytical ability to confidently take informed decisions in complex situations.

  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to inspire and motivate others, with proven experience of managing a multi-talented group of skilled individuals.


  • You have:
  • A degree or equivalent level qualification relevant to the role.


  • Real experience of driving a major promotional calendar as a creative thinker, with the ability to conceptualise and develop ideas and a flexible approach to work with the ability to respond to changing business priorities, ideally within the same industry.

  • Fluency in French would be advantageous but is not essential.
