Full Job Description

As an E-Commerce Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences and maintaining customer satisfaction for our online TransQuip and aftersales business. You will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product information and support through various communication channels. This position requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities., Customer Communication:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, chat, phone, and social media.

  • Assist customers with tracking, cancellations, returns, and exchanges.


  • Problem Resolution:
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, issues, or concerns efficiently and effectively.

  • Identify and escalate complex issues to higher-level support or management when necessary.


  • Product Knowledge:
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's product catalogue and stay updated on new arrivals, features, and promotions.

  • Preferably some experience of E-Commerce, sales and setting up accounts/processes.


  • Order Management:
  • Process orders accurately and ensure timely fulfilment.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any stock shortages or delays to customers.


  • Returns and Refunds:
  • Guide customers through the returns and refund process, ensuring adherence to the company's policies.

  • Manage return authorizations, process returns, and arrange for replacements or refunds as needed.


  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.

  • Generate reports on common customer issues, feedback, and trends for continuous improvement.


  • Customer Feedback:
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to products or services.


  • Upselling and Cross-Selling:
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell related products to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

  • Increase listings on E-commerce channels.


  • Compliance and Policies:
  • Stay updated on e-commerce regulations, privacy policies, and industry best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Previous customer service experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail setting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, order management systems, and CRM software is a plus.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

  • Some knowledge of the company's products and industry trends., A-Level or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

This role is part-time, onsite, between 20-30 hours per week, ideally over 5 days. The salary will range between £27,000 - £28,000 depending on experience., Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
