Full Job Description


  • Develop EDU thermal architectures using advanced engineering knowledge, CAE techniques, and creativity to meet stringent targets
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to provide expertise and educate teams on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and computational analysis

  • Perform 1D thermal modelling in GT-Suite, MATLAB/Simulink, and CATIA to evaluate designs and guide optimization

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams like SIL, efficiency, powertrain, and whole-vehicle to integrate imaginative solutions

  • Document analyses and author virtual test reports clearly communicating assumptions, methods, and conclusions

  • Mentor junior engineers on simulation best practices and thermo-fluid fundamentals

    In this critical role you will lead design, development, and validation of innovative cooling systems for state-of-the-art electric drive units (EDUs). You will leverage your multi-physics expertise to model complex thermal behaviours using 1D simulation tools. Your mission will be delivering imaginative thermal solutions that push the boundaries of efficiency, performance, and functionality. This is an opportunity to excel through a work hard, play hard team spirit., Expertise in EDU systems including e-machines, power electronics, and transmissions with deep grasp of electrical, magnetic, fluid, and mechanical loss physics

  • Competent understanding of other systems of battery electric vehicles such as battery and cooling systems

  • Extensive experience leveraging 1D CAE to develop and optimize thermal management components and systems

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across functional groups like calibrators, performance engineers, controls, and manufacturing

  • The talented person in this role will have a natural ability to persuade and influence other and possess an innovative mindset

  • Proficiency in GT-Suite, MATLAB/Simulink and associated thermal simulation tools
