Electrical Design Engineer

We are a Nationwide Electrical Contractor with an experienced design and project team and we are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team either on a full time basis or contract basis working on a variety of projects including High End residential, commercial and retail projects.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate skills within the following areas;

• Plan, undertake, coordinate, and manage work on projects or programmes.


• Carry out the design of all types of electrical building services systems


• Perform analysis using computer modelling; making, reading, and interpreting technical material.


• Be prepare to attend client design team meetings providing feedback on progress of the design/project
  
  Ability to lead electrical elements of large and small projects


• Experience of working on a variety of projects including; hotel and education, commercial and residential.


• An understanding of electrical design and modelling software


• Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop requirements for new building service projects.


• Excellent time management skills, demonstrating the capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones


• Drive and determination


• Forward thinking and able to anticipate problems


• Excellent communication skills


As the ideal candidate you will be degree qualified or equivalent in electrical engineering with a sound working knowledge of technical software including Amtech, Dialux and AutoCAD/BIM.
