Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Lukeman Electrical Ltd. We have been providing services in the social housing industry across Milton Keynes for the past 8 years. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop our electrical department while ensuring that all electrical projects adhere to safety regulations and departmental procedures. As the Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations., As an Electrical Supervisor, monitoring and conducting audits on electricians would be one of your responsibilities. This involves ensuring that the work carried out by electricians meets the required standards and regulations.

1. On-Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections to assess the quality of work performed by electricians. Inspect electrical installations, equipment, and wiring to ensure they meet the required standards. Identify any potential issues or non-compliance and take appropriate action.

2. Compliance Checks: Ensure that electricians are following the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations and other applicable standards. Verify that they are using proper techniques, materials, and equipment during installations, repairs, and maintenance.

3. Audit Procedures: Develop and implement audit procedures to assess the performance and competence of electricians. Evaluate their adherence to safety protocols and best practices.

4. Communication and Feedback: Regularly communicate with electricians to provide guidance, feedback, and support. Address any concerns or non-compliance issues identified during audits. Offer training or resources to improve their skills and knowledge.

5. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement based on audit findings and implement corrective actions. Work collaboratively with electricians to enhance their performance and ensure consistent adherence to standards.

6. Testing and Inspection: Perform electrical testing to verify the integrity and functionality of electrical systems and equipment, and complete necessary remedials to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.

7. Installation: Install electrical systems, appliances, and equipment according to the project requirements. Follow proper wiring, connection, and mounting procedures. Ensure that all connections are secure, and appropriate safety measures are in place.

By monitoring and conducting audits on electricians, you can ensure that the electrical work carried out meets the required standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor

- Proficient in installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems

- Full knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and BS7671

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation

- City & Guilds 18th Edition

- Inspection and Testing 2391/2

- Previous experience in domestic and social housing projects
