Full Job Description

Our organisation provides training for people at all levels, from supporting individuals to gain work to developing senior managers. We also strive to improve learners' life prosects by offering programmes such as mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and Maths.
Through our two key brands of The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy and utilising several different types of government funding that we have successfully secured, we help thousands of learners each year to gain new skills. This creates a talent pipeline that supports the long-term growth of industry, while also enhancing career prospects and the progression opportunities for our learners.
We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year. Our organisation is dedicated to deliver interventions that develop the 'Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work'.

We have an opportunity for an Employability Work Coach to join our friendly team. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Role
The primary focus of this role will be to support the overall increase of job opportunities for learners on programme with the Mantra Learning Group and The National Logistics Academy. You will increase awareness of our wide range of job opportunities, apprenticeships, funded courses and our training and development offering to the logistics sector via the use of various activities. The development and maintenance of an employer data base will be another area of focus.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new job opportunities for learners on programme.

  • Working to secure meetings with employers.

  • Conducting face to face or on-line induction sessions with learners

  • Conducting career information, advice and guidance sessions.

  • Conducting exit reviews with learners to establish next steps.

  • Providing 1 to 1 support to learners.

  • Promote our offer to learners for progression opportunities.

  • Maintain ongoing rapport with learners after completion.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote our logistics and HGV/FLT courses.

  • Achieve agreed key performance indicators.

  • Update, monitor and report on activities via company BI systems.

  • Maintain working knowledge of our learning programmes.

    Level 2 Maths and English

  • Advice and Guidance L3 or above (Desirable).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Good PC skills including MS Office software.


  • Experience

  • Experience in a Logistics sector or recruitment sector. (Experience in both would be adventurous)

  • Experience of the employability market.

  • Experience of working in a fast-changing working environment.
