Full Job Description

  • Research prospective companies in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement to deliver learning in the Workplace

  • Engage in outbound prospecting activities to secure meaningful contacts, engaging with decision makers mainly via telephone or video conference, also utilising social media (mainly LinkedIn), networking and e-mail

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with employers to support the achievement of targets

  • Ownership of Regional Business Development plan to target new and existing employers in sector / geography

  • Support employers in your Region as the first point of contact to deliver effective account management and maximise business opportunities

  • Build relationships with other team members to generate new opportunities from existing employers

  • Timely follow up and conversion of leads and referrals

  • Screening Candidates coming through the process to recognise strong options for your employers, assessing eligibility

  • Match and submit high quality candidates to employers when applicable for interview

  • Process and manage all Learner documentation, striving for right first-time Sales and Learner enrolments in line with Quality and Compliance standards

  • Engagement with the Marketing Officer to identify and execute localised campaigns, contributing to social media activity and attending networking event.

  • Active promotion and communication of programmes to all internal and external stakeholders including Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Provider Networks, Growth Hubs, Chambers of Commerce etc

  • Understand and keep abreast of Legislation relating to all relevant UK programmes including devolved nations., Generous holiday entitlement, with options to buy or sell holidays.

  • This role will require an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

    We are looking to develop relationships employers and to meet their training needs through the delivery of Work Based Learning programmes. You will have experience of identifying and maximising training opportunities within businesses. You will be responsible for identifying and winning new Work Based Learning business through effective employer engagement activity, whilst developing relationships with existing employers to maximise account development and will play a central role in achieving company aims by helping generate awareness and interest amongst carefully chosen employers, working with them to evaluate their company's learning and development needs.

    The role also requires the Recruiter to 'onboard' the Learner and compete all associated sign-up paperwork to accurately and to a high-quality standard, as well as completing the Health and Safety checks with the employer. Our successful candidate will have extensive experience of strong sales skills with a proven track record of developing relationships, Sales and Business Development.

    The post is based in the centre although there may be a need to travel from time to time for meetings in other centres across Cumbria and Lancs.,

  • Demonstrable ability to interpret individual requirements, influencing and negotiation in a sales environment to build and maintain business relationships

  • A keen understanding on the need to engage only high-quality employer partners and learners to ensure successful completion of coaching programmes

  • Competent at creating and delivering Sales presentations to win new business

  • Monitoring your own Business Development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of targets

  • Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and CRM.

  • UK Driving Licence with own means of transport.

    Upto £30,000 per year, dependent on experience

  • 37.5 hours a week

  • Pension Scheme

  • Travel paid at 0.40p per mile.
