Full Job Description

  • To take overall responsibility for the daily operation of the engineering workshop and depot infrastructure within budgetary limits, with the aim of minimising lost mileage and delivering service for the customer whilst complying with all Group Standard Operating Procedures.

  • To provide leadership, development and motivation to the staff at specific depot(s) within the Operating Company.

  • Effectively manage the workforce with the support of supervisory teams to achieve maximum productivity within a framework of good relations and safe working environment.

    You must possess a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent

  • You must have or be able to achieve the Transport Managers qualification

  • You must have knowledge and experience of HS&E, maintenance of vehicles, Road Safety legislation etc.

  • You will have working knowledge of DVSA Legislations and Categorisation of Defeats

  • You will have proven leadership skills as these are essential

  • You will have a flexible approach to management and commuting between multi-site operations, providing cover as and when required.
