Full Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced ENT (Ear, Throat and Nose) Specialists to join our team and provide a comprehensive range of ENT services to NHS patients referred by local GPs at the highest level of care.

The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering clinical triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice for patients with ENT conditions. Additionally, they will play a key role in maintaining clinical competence, ensuring patient confidentiality, and adhering to professional standards and guidelines set forth by regulatory bodies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical triage for all ENT referrals, ensuring appropriate onward referral to secondary care when necessary.

  • Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of patients with ENT conditions.

  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, and advice for acute ENT conditions in accordance with local referral guidelines.

  • Offer advice, treatment, and support for self-management of ENT conditions, promoting patient empowerment and well-being.

  • Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping using clinical software and agreed-upon coding systems.

  • Collaborate effectively with referring GPs to enhance clinical awareness and promote seamless patient care.

  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, including the timely reporting of significant events and participation in Clinical Governance Meetings.

  • Demonstrate sensitive and effective communication skills when obtaining informed consent, delivering 'bad news', and supporting patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Act as an advocate for patients and colleagues, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed with compassion and professionalism.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical competence and stay abreast of latest developments in ENT care.

    Communitas Clinics is a provider of NHS community ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) and Dermatology services, operating across London and the South East of England. Patients are referred to our service by their GP, and appropriate referrals are then treated in community settings by specialist clinicians.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

    Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

    Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
