Full Job Description

As an Estates Surveyor you will be involved in acquisitions, disposals and adding value to Council initiatives across a diverse range of areas such as social care, climate change, sustainable transport and the Council's own affordable housing stock. You will work alongside the Housing Team contributing to the management of the extensive housing portfolio by ensuring that land is properly mapped and managed. You will undertake Right to Buy valuations, also assisting in the conveyancing process to ensure consistency regarding boundaries and property rights. You will deal with matters relating to the management of the portfolio and will apply logical, pragmatic thinking to shape the Council's policies on issues such as the disposal of land and property rights, the release of restrictive covenants and cost recovery.

To thrive in this role, our ideal candidate is equipped with a degree in estate management, professional qualifications (RICS) or significant experience in a similar role.

We value strong interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and coordinate workloads. A keen eye for detail to identify commercial opportunities for income growth or cost reduction is crucial.

Join us in shaping the future of our estate and development initiatives and you will enjoy a hybrid working environment with the ability to work from offices throughout the county and plenty of opportunity to get out on site. Whilst this is a full-time role applications for part-time working and job sharing will be considered., Disability Confident
