We are excited to be recruiting for a Events and Administrator to join our awesome tribe based full-time (maternity cover) based at Wisley.

Events

  • Liaise with the RHS Events team to deliver efficient and professional response to all enquiries and to respond to telephone and e-mail enquiries with appropriate and tailored catering.

  • Liaise with the RHS Events team to build, maintain, and develop a strong and close professional relationship with their event and catering requirements.

  • Source and build relationships with external suppliers to source and order specialist equipment.

  • Ensure the events menus and prices are updated regularly and in a timely manner and ensure departments are always up to date with any changes.

  • Produce timely and accurate written proposals/quotes in line with the company's templates and pricing structure and offer clients the opportunity to have a menu tasting when appropriate.

  • Ensure that the presentation of the proposal is attractive, legible, and free from spelling and grammatical errors.

  • Undertake tastings, site visits and meetings where required and involve the correct personnel from the company to assist if necessary.

  • Record the event in the relevant event diary and forecast and distribute to relevant on-site CoC departments.

  • Collect, draft and communicate event confirmation details: final menu selection including dietary requirements, final guest numbers, seating plans, event sheets, access sheets, CCG and hire orders and any other essential information for events no later than a week prior to the event.

  • Carry out reasonable requests on behalf of the company and as requested by the Head of Operations or Senior company employees.

  • Ensure the highest standards of service is always provided for our customers.

  • Deal with issues and problems that may arise decisively and promptly, always protecting the company's interests.

  • Effectively time manage and prioritise self to ensure all business needs are met.


  • Administration
  • Support the operational team to ensure the following:-


  • Prompt customer complaint reponses are sent within deadline procedures

  • Weekly customer complaint reports completed

  • Operational menus, labels and marketing requirements for special events pop-ups are signed off for print

  • Assist the People Manager with HR related documentation that may need to be filed away into employee folders.

    Company of Cooks was formed in 1996 to run the catering services at Kenwood House on behalf of English Heritage.
