Full Job Description

  • Ensure the maintenance and operations of Warton and Samlesbury Site Mechanical Infrastructure providing safe operation and security of supply

  • Manage effective integration of Mechanical Infrastructure planning across Air (UK) Estates

  • Ensure effective communication of Mechanical Infrastructure and site service planning activities across Air (UK) Estates

  • Ensure that adequate technical capability and Governance is deployed across Mechanical Infrastructure activities

  • Ensure that all planned investments take account of Sustainability and Energy Management requirements

  • Act as the technical authority for leading edge energy technology.

  • Act as the point of contact for Air Manufacturing with Local Authorities and Governing Bodies with respect to Sustainability and Energy matters.

  • Manage the introduction of Carbon Reduction Technology into the Air UK Estate.

  • Support the AIR Sector Strategy on reduction of Carbon Emissions across the Estate in regard to Scope 1 and 2 emissions.

  • Developing and implementing the overall approach for Estates and Infrastructure Asset Management

  • Ownership for the maintenance and promulgation of the standard specifications and the Warton Unit Natural Gas Safety Rules

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise covering key Infrastructure Elements including


  • Natural Gas Supply and Distribution


  • Mains Cold Water Infrastructure and Distribution


  • Drainage Systems


  • Compressed Air Systems


  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems


  • Low Pressure Hot Water Systems


  • Building Energy Management System


  • Cooling Systems


  • Ensure Environmental Compliance on matters related to Pollution Control, Industrial Process regulation, statutory nuisance and Carbon compliance

  • Facilitate and manage all Utilities related data, contracting, billing and IBP considerations including the development of innovative contracting arrangements such as PPA's

    Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, practices and frameworks

  • Understanding of environmental rules ®ulations and experience of environmental risk management

  • Ability to manage sustainability initiatives as complex projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation

  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise and strategy around Net Zero Carbon commitment

  • Mechanical Engineering background

    Salary: £63,900 + (depending on skills and experience), You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
