Full Job Description
- Work as part of a team to deliver accountancy services to BHP's clients, including; statutory audit, preparing accounts, completing tax returns, attending client meetings and corresponding with clients and professional contacts
- Gaining practical work experience to support exam progress
- Developing the skills and behaviours required for a successful career in accountancy, Move on to Level 7 Chartered Qualification to become a Chartered Accountant or a Chartered Tax Adviser
- BHP has a structured career development programme in place and previous apprentices have stayed with the organisation and are now working in senior positions
Working as part of a team, you will develop a broad range of skills, gain hands on experience and a professional accountancy qualification as part of a fully supported training agreement., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent at least 3 subjects in addition to English/Maths (Grade 4) Essential - training
- qualifications, like an NVQ in a relevant field
- industry or sector experience
GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential
A Level or equivalent Any subject except General Studies (Grade 96 UCAS points minimum) Essential, Whilst this is a role that requires applicants to have numeracy skills, as your career progresses, you will require more interpersonal skills as you become a trusted adviser for your clients and network with professional contacts.
