Full Job Description

The Financial Accountant role is to support the financial control team in the completion of month end activities in relation to EMEA entities in line with reporting deadlines. Reporting to the UK & EMEA Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for finalising month end numbers and processes, ensuring reconciliations are complete and accurate and supporting submission to our parent company Geopost.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the month end reporting process for some EMEA entities

  • Work closely with AP/AR teams to understand transactional variances on month end reporting against Budget

  • Maintain Fixed Asset register

  • Completion of monthly VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner and submission to tax authorities

  • Work with UK and EMEA Financial controller to close out all audit requirements

  • Assist with the development of systems and initiatives relevant to enhancement of gross margin and statutory data, interacting as needed with broader business projects to drive financial control and efficiency of process

  • Provide support if required to payroll specialist

  • Support the delivery of ad-hoc projects as required in partnership with relevant stakeholders throughout the business

    Up to £45,000 depending on experience.

  • Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17:30pm and the role is offered as hybrid from our Cambridge office (CB22 3EG) with up to 2 days per week working from home.

    This is a UK based role and the right to live and work in the UK will need to be established during the recruitment process. Please note we are not currently a Home Office visa sponsorship licence holder.
