Financial Controller

You would be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function across the YDWS Group. Analysing performance, identifing risk and ensureing good financial governance across the business. You will use a data lead approach, to work with the commercial team to support their day-to-day decision making and work closely with the operations teams, to provide them with the data and support to achieve their KPI targets and improve operational performance. You will also play a supporting role, as directed by the Finance Director and Residential board, in the implementation of the company's strategic plans in order that financial and growth targets are achieved. You must be willing to travel, 1 day a week in Cheltenham and 1 day a week in Willenhall.

You would also:

• Be responsible for the production of all financial information of the YDWS Group, in line with tight group deadlines


• Prepare, monitor and maintain monthly/quarterly/annual business unit forecasts and budgets. To include, sales trends, cost of goods sold, new product introductions, growth targets and overheads


• Provide the commercial teams with detailed analysis and opinion to support the day-to-day decision-making process and monitor the in-month short terms sales outlook, order infill, cost of goods sold and overheads


• Work closely with the credit control manager, customer service manager and commercial teams to ensure aged debt is monitored and reduced and that the customer risk profile is controlled


• Be involved in ad hoc projects across the wider group as directed by the Chief Financial Officer working closely with the Shared Service Operations finance teams
  
  Has previous 3 years of experience in a senior finance role


• Has background of working closely with commercial teams


• Has experience with Microsoft AX & HFM
