We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Bookkeeper, with strong communication skills, to join our team of freelance accountancy professionals, providing freelance accountancy support to our clients in the Hull area of the UK.

You will ideally be already self-employed, immediately available and looking to build on your client-base (with at least 2 days a week availability) delivering expertise into SME's. If you are not already self-employed but are looking to move into freelance work (and meet the below criteria) we would love to hear from you too.

You will have gained previous, solid knowledge in the following: double-entry, P&L reports, processing payroll, purchase and sales ledger, credit control, implementing new accounting procedures, coaching colleagues, correcting errors and providing financial information to ensure accurate auditing, cashflow, budgets and forecasting can be obtained.

Often you will be helping clients who require some real hand-holding with their accounts and so you must be a natural problem solver, with lots of patience, tenacity and determination, looking to make a real difference and add value to your clients.

You will be fully or part-qualified (AAT/IAB/ICB) OR have at least 3 years of relevant experience under your belt and will be highly computer literate with advanced Excel skills, MS 365, and comfortable in implementing new processes and procedures. Your role will be varied, with the option to work with a variety of clients delivering expertise to help them to improve and implement best practices within their accountancy function. Proficiency in either Xero, Sage Line 50 and/or QuickBooks is required, and you will ideally have a broad level of bookkeeping experience, gained across a variety of SME businesses and/or industry sectors., Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship to overseas workers.
