Our fantastic Home department at Next Head Office is looking for an experienced Furniture Designer to design &
develop furniture across all Home Furniture Categories including upholstery.
If your experience combines creativity, commercial awareness and delivering exceptional design in a fast paced
environment, then this opportunity is going to be something you might be interested in.

Design and develop new ranges, taking responsibility for everything from design concept through to technical
development and product selection.

About the role:
As a designer for Cabinet Furniture within the Next Home Design Team, you will be responsible for the following:
\xe2\x97\x8f Driving newness through the different product ranges.
\xe2\x97\x8f Supporting range building.
\xe2\x97\x8f Working closely with other designers to create cohesive looks and stories across home.
\xe2\x97\x8f Understanding and proposing products for all our customer styles and price architecture.
\xe2\x97\x8f Identify trends in materials finishes (wood, metal, foils hardware, upholstery) and form.
\xe2\x97\x8f Identifying new product opportunities for the Next customer.

About you:
\xe2\x97\x8f Highly creative with a real vision for interior and homeware product
\xe2\x97\x8f Experienced in identifying and proposing potential new product opportunities.
\xe2\x97\x8f Outstanding commercial awareness and comprehensive understanding of homeware interior design and
trends.
\xe2\x97\x8f Extensive market and aspirational brand knowledge
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent presentation skills, presenting at Director and Manager level including large groups, flexing
style and content where appropriate
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to prioritise workflow and ensure challenging deadlines are met at all times.
\xe2\x97\x8f Hard working, enthusiastic, curious, resilient, prolific, honest and fair
\xe2\x97\x8f Experience working for a retailer would be beneficial.

xe2\x97\x8f BA in Product Design or equivalent.
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent user of Adobe suite & 3d rendering packages
\xe2\x97\x8f Create detailed specification documents for accurate briefing to manufacturers
\xe2\x97\x8f Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of working well with other Product teams
and external suppliers to build productive relationships.
