Full Job Description

We are looking for a qualified domestic Gas Installation Engineer who can work as part of our team and on their own while completing a defined workload of installation jobs per day. You will join our gas installations team in Gas Operations within Sanctuary Property Services to assist with the delivery of replacing gas boilers and heating systems for our customers. You will cover TQ, EX and PL postcodes, occasionally working in DT or TA postcodes as and when required.

The role of Gas Installation Engineer will include:

  • Carrying out installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems

  • Undertaking direct replacements of combination type central heating boilers and Open Vented/Sealed System to combination conversions

  • Installation of radiators and associated pipework

  • Some repairs and servicing

  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, Sanctuary Group encourages and welcomes applications from people from diverse backgrounds to support our commitment to offering an inclusive environment for our employees and customers.

  • We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working.
    A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for.
    Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS), currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group

  • The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems

  • Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all

  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
