GENERAL COUNSEL

We are searching for an exceptional General Counsel to become an integral part of our client's expanding organisation. Our client is on a fast track to transforming the consumer facing landscape it operates in across Europe. Your role as General Counsel will be a pivotal in supporting their growth journey.

You will ensure its operations adhere to the legal frameworks in each relevant jurisdiction and provide valuable legal insights to the executive team. As well as managing a small legal team, your expertise will safeguard the organisation and support its strategic expansion plans.,

• Draft and amend major contracts and manage transactions to optimise the company's position


• Manage commercial legal contracts and disputes


• Oversee legal aspects of acquisitions, as well as post-merger integration


• Collaborate with finance to maintain and adjust corporate debt facilities


• Implement legal controls into key commercial systems and processes


• Appoint and oversee external legal counsel as needed


• Manage and develop a high-performance internal legal team


• Define the company's legal policy and position, guiding management on regulatory and compliance matters, You will be an experienced lawyer with the following qualifications

• Experience in leading teams and projects across multiple jurisdictions

• Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and verbally, to provide clear legal advice to diverse audiences


• Problem-solving skills to deliver legal solutions to commercial issues


• Initiative-taking with strong attention to detail


• Confidence to represent the business in various negotiations


• Excellent stakeholder management, paired with the highest professional ethics and integrity
