Full Job Description

The role is suited to an individual who has a background in a STEM subject with an interest
in numerical modelling of real world problems. The Graduate Systems Engineer will have the
knowledge, expertise and capability to model physical systems in the engineering lifecycle,
including but not limited to: system function, system architecture, detailed product
performance modelling and test strategies. Additionally, an awareness of modelling and
simulation methodologies, techniques and tools used within the engineering lifecycle is
desired.,

  • Work with the Head of Engineering to develop, implement and test system models

  • for CFMS customers
  • Contribute to project reports and presentations

  • Present technical project findings at conferences or in project meetings

  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear

  • decisions which are timely and in the best interest of the organisation.

  • Amends priorities to ensure delivery to timelines when circumstances warrant it

    Minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject

  • Knowledge of programming, for example C/C++, Python or MATLAB

  • Experience of writing numerical simulations in code

  • Knowledge of optimisation and sensitivity analysis techniques would be

  • advantageous

  • A sound technical background in Physics, Maths, Engineering or Applied Computing
