Full Job Description

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the business applications services portfolio across the group, with an (at present) primary focus on our UK ERP platform (IFS).


  • Build strong, effective relationships with key stakeholders across our regions.


  • Coalesce and adopt our key business systems deployed across the group, ensuring they are managed, supported and meeting current and future needs.


  • Establish, embrace, and market a strategic vision and target architecture for corporate enterprise systems for the group.


  • Form and execute transformation projects in collaboration with programme/project management to increment towards the evolving target architecture.


  • Lead, manage and inspire a globally distributed systems team, embedding continuous improvement and driving departmental objectives.


  • Own and demonstrate full ownership for all services in remit.


  • Provide oversight on system and data security.


  • Manage and ensure services adhere to compliance and regulatory standards and conform with internal and external audits.


  • Manage budgets and resources (internal and external) in close partnership with programme/project management and finance partners.

    We're looking for someone with experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple regions (mainly Europe), overseeing our business applications services portfolio across the group. Ideally you will have significant experience in IT systems, technical leadership and digital transformation., Proven experience in a technical senior leadership role managing enterprise systems, technology professionals and related vendor relationships.

  • Demonstrable experience of owning, operating and delivering enterprise grade ERP solutions.

  • Evidential depth of experience in delivering phased digital transformation to complex businesses, with a focus on both quality and benefit realisation.

  • Demonstrable experience negotiating and managing vendors and commercial agreements to maximise value and performance.

  • Depth of experience managing budgets & costs, building forecasts and meeting financial objectives

  • Demonstrable technical experience and competency in infrastructure, cloud, data, networking and security to effectively own and operate critical business systems and related vendors.

  • Experience across as many of the following enterprise systems:


  • Core financial, CRM, HR, Financial consolidation, Workforce planning, Quality Management, Field service management, Manufacturing, BI / Analytics

    Required competencies:
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to develop and lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to rapidly analyse data points, complex challenges and form strategies in line with broader business objectives.


  • ITIL Expertise: Proven ability to manage IT services within ITIL guidelines.


  • Project Management: Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.


  • Change Management: change process leadership for live services, ensuring minimal disruption.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.


  • Performance Metrics/KPIs: Develop KPIs aligned with business objectives.


  • Risk Management and Compliance: Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.


  • Desirable skills and experience:
  • Experience with IFS ERP (highly)

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly)


  • Operating in regulated environments (ideally healthcare)

  • Supply chain and/or manufacturing expertise.

  • Experience in field service management environments

  • Quality management controls and procedures
