Full Job Description

Our client is passionate about revolutionising consumer accessibility to the credit card and personal loans markets, and are doing this through the use of their innovative technology and services, and commercial arrangements with leading financial services providers.

They've enjoyed some great successes including partnering with a prominent UK News outlet who can now offer credit comparison services thanks to our client's tech platform. On behalf of their partners they process over 7.5 million eligibility checks per year and they have access to a panel of lenders covering nearly 70% of the market, which will soon grow even further.

Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Having recently grown the partnerships team, the business are now looking to drive their commercial relationships by bring onboard a new Head of Marketplace to lead the commercial strategy for credit marketplaces. You will have direct line management responsibility for another commercial team member, plus more members as the team grows.

  • Leading the strategy for marketplaces you'll ensure that credit providers on the panel meet their growth targets.

  • You'll develop and oversee relationship strategies and mentor and develop relationship managers for the marketplace.

  • You'll be responsible for driving commercial KPIs and deliver on P&L targets, devising an optimisation plan to enhance performance and support the company's ambitious plans

  • Using your comprehensive credit market and product knowledge, you'll articulate the platform's value proposition to potential partners, and new panel providers.

  • By adopting a solution oriented approach and an understanding of the needs of the panel, you'll effectively negotiate commercial terms.

    Someone who has experience in the financial services industry

  • Can offer B2BC sales/business development experience

  • Has experience in presenting technology platforms and insights

  • Can offer a proven track record understanding and leveraging commercial value through commercial, product and strength of relationships

  • Has experience in direction setting and leadership and understanding of how to drive performance

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Have the confidence to push for changes that you believe will have a positive impact.
