Full Job Description

The role requires a highly specialist Occupational Therapist with considerable clinical leadership experience within mental health and secure settings. The Head of Occupational Therapy (OT) will demonstrate a commitment to delivering patient-centred care and continuous service improvement; encompassing the Charity's mission to ensure those living with mental health conditions are heard, feel valued and have hope for their future.

A key focus for the role is to guide the Occupational Therapy provision across clinical divisions; professionally supporting the Lead OT in delivery a high quality service. The role will also oversee and shape a multi-disciplinary 'Recovery and Enablement' pathway aimed at giving patients the skills and confidence needed to live safely and as independently as possible in the community. The pathway will consist of occupational therapy, education, vocational instructors and the Arts team and they will come together under shared patient outcomes. The role requires clear vision, visibility, strong communication skills, good organisation and the ability to bring staff together.

The Head of OT will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Allied Health Professionals (AHP) in developing the OT workforce plan; building the workforce for the future and the Meaningful Activity agenda.

You will be reporting into the Head of Allied Health Professionals and working alongside a wide range of clinical leads and enabling functions.

You will be an experienced team player with an inherent value for inter professional working as well as being a balanced, consistent and compassionate leader. You will be very focused on the tasks and objectives of the role and have experience in continuous quality improvement and leading change programmes for staff and patients.

You will be skilled in bringing stakeholders with you and understanding/ believing in your ideas and vision and will be a true advocate for Occupational Therapy and Adult Education

Salary: £56,000 - £60,000 DOE plus package
