Full Job Description

As the Head of Overhaul Operations at Siemens Energy in Lincoln, England, GB, your main responsibility will be to lead the Overhaul Operations Lincoln teams. You will be tasked with delivering quality material from returning SGT products for SEITL and developing communications and stakeholder management plans to establish SEITL as an advanced component repair and approved used asset centre of excellence. Your role will also involve ensuring that resources are available for SGT strip, clean, assessment in line with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) essentials. You will need to identify investments required to maintain and improve the processes today, while also working on the strategic vision and subsequent implementation plan for processes, infrastructure, and competencies for part life engines, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and individual components. Additionally, you will be responsible for future-proofing OOL for the next generation of technologies, such as advanced
manufacturing and e-fuel technology.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that appropriate compliance, health and safety, and environmental practices are in place to meet company policy and strategy requirements. You will be responsible for managing, motivating, engaging, and developing teams and individuals to drive business success and create an environment of continuous improvement, team working, and good industrial relations. Your role will also involve ensuring the development and communication of appropriate business and manufacturing strategies, enabling everyone to understand their part in achieving success. You will need to ensure that required resources and processes are available to meet the group's business requirements for both the long and short term. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering strip/reclaim commitments on time and in full, exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers, and increasing flexibility and agility in manufacturing to respond quickly to
customer demand. You will also need to identify cross-functional investments and activities required to maintain and improve reclaim capability/efficiency and output. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing, gaining agreement for, implementing, and managing budgets to meet business targets.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, project management abilities, and manufacturing techniques. You should also be able to work effectively in a team and have proficiency in IT systems such as SAP and Microsoft packages. Knowledge of lean techniques and health and safety competence, including IOSHH and DSEAR training, is essential. You should have management experience in both projects and manufacturing environments and be a professional in LEAN methods and techniques, with a track record of delivering significant transformative change. Experience in manufacturing and engineering environments, as well as people management experience, is also required. You should be able to lead transformative change for the longer-term business benefit and have experience negotiating and working within a multicultural environment.
