Full Job Description

  • Resilient individual to lead change management

  • To ensure business success through the provision of value add services to functions which exist within the Business Unit;

  • Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and drive optimisation across the Business Unit and the wider Roke, supporting business change and identifying and consolidating internal processes.

  • To provide a Front door' for knowledge & Information and general PPM guidance within the Business Unit

  • Support decision making through the provision of accurate and consistent data to Operations, Delivery Units and other internal functions;

  • Ensure the BU is adhering to company policy and process through compliance analysis and corrective actions.


  • Key Responsibilities
  • To be accountable for the development and provision of all key PMO services (including but not limited to, planning, financials, resource management, risk and issue management, reporting, governance, and method compliance) whilst delegating responsibility across the PMO team to achieve maximum effectiveness.

  • Promote and nurture a culture that motivates and inspires excellent collective and individual P3M performance, embraces change and that delivers continuous improvement;


  • initiate and lead change and continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive the identification, development, deployment and reassignment of P3M resources.

  • Undertake the role of custodian for the local P3M standards and their continuous improvement; maintain a centralised repository for project management knowledge, templates, and local practices.

  • Design, implement and support effective P3M tools. Maintain a centralised repository for status reports, work plans, proposals, change requests, etc.


  • and ensure timely updates and performance reporting processes.
  • Develop reporting frameworks, utilising thoughtful user-focused design to produce consistent P3M reports that are simple to complete and provide easily digestible data, visualisations, analysis and insights to senior leaders and sponsors, to enable effective decisions / actions to be taken.

  • Establish and maintain governance for delivery, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with corporate governance practice.

  • Maintain the Business Unit's Enterprise Risk Management System into which all core functions within the BU contribute.

  • Actively drive the Roke PMO Community alongside other Heads of PMO in other Business Units to drive consistency and cross-Roke standardisation., Hybrid working : A minimum of 40% of your monthly hours working at your base location, subject to role requirements.

  • Clearances

    Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the for the last 5 years.

  • You will be asked to provide evidence from your experience leading similar transformation projects

  • Degree qualification - Desired

  • Appropriate P3M qualifications (P3O, APM, MoP, MSP, Prince2)


  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience of setting up PMOs in different environments, including gathering requirements, developing services / people and embedding services into a BAU PMO offering.

  • Data analysis experience - Desired

  • Information and Data Management experience - Preferred

  • P3M experience in a customer facing organisations, preferably with experience of delivering complex frameworks and programmes Preferred

  • Knowledge of developing a reporting architecture and solutions utilising the Microsoft Power platform.
