YMCA Club is the largest gym facility in central London and is a part of Central YMCA, the world's founding YMCA and the UK's leading health, fitness and education charity.

This is your opportunity to join our Gym Team and start or continue growing your career in the fitness industry. We will support the right candidate towards achieving the Level 2 Gym Instructing Certificate

Our Health and Fitness Advisors provide an excellent level of customer service to members on poolside and throughout the facility including studios and gym floor. You will:

  • Ensure that members' health and fitness needs are met both in the gym and poolside.

  • Create a welcoming environment to all by communicating professionally and effectively with colleagues and members.

  • Carry out cleaning duties as per management instructions - e.g. you will be responsible for keeping the gym cardio equipment and poolside equipment clean and fit to use, manage the towel hire, separate waste materials that can be recycled.

  • Provide general assistance to managers and colleagues helping with deliveries, set-ups, and other tasks as needed.

    So, are you...

  • A motivated individual who is passionate about health and fitness?

  • An enthusiastic, customer-focused individual?

  • Someone with a hands-on, highly collaborative attitude?

  • A competent swimmer, NPLQ qualified or willing to take a lifeguard course before starting in this role?

  • You will assist Club members around the gym floor and poolside, so a lifeguard NPLQ qualification is essential for this role.

  • Free gym membership for you and your partner

  • Discounted rates on our YMCAfit courses

  • Continuous professional development opportunities

  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - a wide range of free and confidential services for you and your immediate family (including counselling sessions)

  • A forward-thinking approach to EDI where individuals are encouraged to be their authentic self at work.

  • A real opportunity to impact change in the community through your work.

  • Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
