Full Job Description

The post holder will be based at our headquarters in Leeds Street in Liverpool assisting in health, safety and compliance inspections, paperwork and actions plans for the YMCA Together estate across Liverpool, Sefton, and Knowsley., You will be assisting the HSC manager in ensuring that the YMCA Togethers safety processes, and procedures and properties are compliant.

The post holder will support the organisation by:

  • Ensuring timely safety and compliance inspections/ audits are completed across the estate. This will include carrying out weekly and monthly fire checks, widow restrictor checks etc on out properties.

  • Ensuring that statutory documentation is completed, and records are maintained.

  • Liaising with the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager in ensuring all tasks are carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner by working efficiently and effectively., Ensure compliance by conducting site inspections/ audits across YMCA Togethers estate.

  • Monitoring progress of actions raised in inspections, audits and liaising with staff to ensure actions are closed in a timely manner.

  • Develop strong working relationships with staff and residents to foster a positive health and safety culture.

  • Provide advice and assistance on health and safety matters.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of safety procedures, guidance documents and toolbox talks.

  • Assist with Updating and maintaining the compliance management system.

  • Assist with the contractor approval process.

  • Update and maintain the accident reporting system.

  • General admin duties

  • Report, log, and communicate all incidents to the appropriate people.

  • Ensure adherence to YMCA Together visitor's policy and procedure.

  • Comfortable with the use of computers and IT including Microsoft Office 365

  • GCSE Maths and English

  • Auditing qualification

  • IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational safety / or equivalent
