House and elderly terrier near the beach on the Isle of Wight

We have a large comfortable 1920s house in a fairly big garden. The main role is to care for our elderly but feisty Patterdale terrier Maisie. She is 16. She is great with people but not with other dogs and she would run off if there was an opportunity, so we are happy for her to just have the garden when we are away as she is a handful out on walks. In June there will also be some watering to do , principally the veg area.

Things to know: Our house is a few hundred yards from the beach at Colwell Bay (near the symbol for The Hut that you can see on the map below), and a short walk into Freshwater village. There are lots of great walks, sights to see, pubs and restaurants and a good baker, a butcher, a fishmonger and veg shop all in Freshwater, as well as a medium sized Tesco . We are on a bus route. Yarmouth is 2.5 miles away. Car ferries come into Yarmouth from Lymington (Wightlink) , East Cowes from Southampton (Red Funnel) or Fishbourne from Portsmouth (Wightlink). Our sitters have a large bedroom with king size bed and their own bathroom (bath with shower over). This is also the weekend of the famous Isle of Wight pop festival so sitters could go to that if they wanted!
