If you are a candidate with existing Housing experience and you have run a caseload of your own files with extensive experience in handling all kinds of housing matters, particularly legal aid matters i.e. submitting applications on Legal Aid Portal on behalf of clients as well as legal aid billing, then we are definitely interested in hearing from you.

About the role

You will handle casework of your own files with supervision from senior members of staff, manage clients' expectations and negotiate settlements and offers.

The successful candidates must have knowledge of billing client files and conducting work in private as well as legal aid cases. A high level of verbal and written communication skills, as well as competency in IT skills are required.

CORE TASKS (not an exhaustive list):

  • Dealing with a range of public and private housing cases including Homelessness; Disrepair; Eviction; Possession; Property Ownership Disputes.

  • Dealing with landlord/tenant issues, covering various areas of law from criminal damage to breach of contract. Forfeiture, unlawful eviction.

  • Drafting correspondence and documents

  • Manage own work, billing on Leap and maintaining accurate time, costing.
