Full Job Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective and practical generalist HR advice to staff and people managers.

Payroll:

  • Process monthly payroll including adhoc and regular data input in conjunction with the UK HR Lead.

  • Assist with employee salary, payroll and benefits queries.

  • Manage the reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements.

  • Be able to answer or investigate adhoc finance queries.

  • Manage calculations of NI, tax and any other adhoc deductions or additions.


  • HR:
  • Process all new starters and leavers including creation of employment contracts (UK and Portugal), reference requests and leaver letters.

  • Process all paperwork associated with employment changes and variations to contracts (UK and Portugal).

  • Create and maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information.

  • Assist with any recruitment administration queries from the recruitment team including right to work queries.

  • Maintain the HR database reports including headcount, sick absence and holiday reporting.

  • Managing benefits, including adding and removing members from the schemes.

  • 2+ years' experience in a HR support role, ideally within a fast paced and people focused environment, and a strong foundation in all aspects of employee management.

  • Solid understanding of employment law and payroll operations.

  • Resilient in your experience and approach, recognizing the importance of discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive matters.

  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and adept at managing competing, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.

  • A skilled and strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels and navigate complex situations with confidence.

  • You're someone who is committed to seeing things through and are able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.

  • Tolerant of ambiguity, solutions-oriented, with a zest for learning and developing your understanding of people and all things HR.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showcasing a strong sense of personal responsibility.

  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
