Full Job Description

The HR business unit ensures everyone in Business has the necessary environment, skills, and tools for successful performance daily. This role supports units within COO, the architects of industry-leading transformation, providing secure and sustainable connectivity solutions. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, we navigate change and shape the future. The COO function drives BT Business' strategy, simplifies the portfolio, and oversees transformation efforts.

This role collaborates with Strategy & Partnerships, Transformation, and CTO units to cultivate a high-performing culture and support the transformation agenda. It demands creativity, commercial acumen, and agility to thrive in a dynamic market. You'll foster effective people solutions, drive organisational change, and align skills with business goals. As part of the Business HR team, you'll develop and deliver a comprehensive People Plan in collaboration with HR specialists and Group COE.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement BT People strategy across the business unit to align with company direction.

  • Collaborate with the business to enhance employee engagement and align people plans with broader HR strategy.

  • Deliver various HR practices including workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, organisational design, talent development, and employee relations.

  • Review and enhance the business unit's operating model to align with its needs and strategic goals.

  • Co-create engagement plans with senior leaders, articulating impact on business goals and recommending solutions.

  • Coach and develop leaders at all levels, manage people-related risks, ensure retention of key employees, and develop leadership succession plans.

  • Develop integrated strategic and tactical workforce plans to ensure the right skills are in the right place at the right time.

  • Manage HR activities such as recruitment, resourcing, absence management, performance management, and employee relations in collaboration with specialist HR teams.

  • Ensure compliance with local legislative requirements and protect BT for the present and future.

    Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner in previous roles.

  • Proven track record in volume sales and driving sales transformation initiatives.

  • Expertise in Change Management, facilitating people transformation, and driving cultural change.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology is advantageous.
