Full Job Description

Dorset Healthcare are looking for an Administrator to join our supportive team based here in Weymouth and Portland,

The multi-disciplinary team work with adult patients in their own homes or care homes to promote independence and improve quality of life by supporting them to remain at home. You will be joining a motivated, caring, inclusive and compassionate team. You will work with a team of Medics, Nurses, Therapists and Clinical Support Staff to assist patients to regain their independence and avoid hospital admission.

The Administrator role will be based in the Locality Hub at Westhaven Hospital, providing admin support to the clinical teams, and liaising with patients, families, carers and other professionals to provide a holistic service for the residents of Weymouth and Portland.

This role is a full time post however part time would also be considered as long as the services needs are met. Hours covered by the service are 08:30-16:30 7 days per week with weekend enhanced pay.

To provide a friendly, safe and efficient administrative and office systems service to support the delivery of excellent patient care.

To ensure that patients and contacts with the service are dealt with in a friendly, empathetic and professional manner and to help ensure that the patient's experience is positive.

To deal with confidential, contentious and urgent material proactively in a sensitive and appropriate manner, exercising analytical skills and sound judgement.

Work as part of an efficient and professional team.

To work systematically and develop communication networks that contributes effectively to the service provided.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
