Full Job Description

Providing dedicated recruitment support to various business areas to effectively source the best talent through a variety of direct sourcing channels. Managing the complete applicant journey from initial enquiry through to offer of employment. This will include:

  • Working with hiring managers and HR colleagues to agree a sourcing plan and timelines for vacant positions. Supporting hiring managers through the full recruitment and selection process

  • Actively sourcing the best candidates through appropriate channels including job boards and social media channels

  • Working with stakeholders at all levels to ensure the correct recruitment processes and procedures are followed

  • Ensuring that an exceptional candidate experience is provided through the entire recruitment process from application through to first day

  • Identifying appropriate selection and assessment methods and administering these to identify the best candidates

  • Using multiple selection methods, for example conducting telephone interviews, to carry out an initial assessment of applicant suitability

  • Co-ordinating interviews and assessments, including welcoming candidates, ensuring the process runs smoothly and participating in candidate assessment when required

  • Preparing and collating documentation for the recruitment process, including assessment packs

  • Providing appropriate and constructive feedback to candidates following their interview/assessment

  • Ensuring that the recruitment process is handled appropriately at all stages in a confidential and compliant manner, ensuring relevant legislative requirements are adhered to

  • Ensuring the appropriate and correct documentation is in place to evidence the recruitment process. Recording all recruitment information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Providing analytics reports on key recruitment metrics and performance to evaluate recruitment performance

  • Ensuring compliance with all Welsh Water processes related to recruitment and selection

  • Making effective use of the e-recruitment systems, SuccessFactors, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of data

    The following experience, skills & knowledge are essential:


  • Experience of designing and utilising a range of selection methods and materials for recruitment

  • Experience of working with e-recruitment systems to drive quality and efficiency

  • Proven track record of successful recruitment delivery in fast paced environment

  • Experience of managing the full recruitment process through to offer stage

  • Experience in the use of recruitment platforms (e.g. job boards, LinkedIn, etc.) to source suitable candidates

  • Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day

  • Understanding of and commitment to SLAs and delivering to deadlines

  • Ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers and the wider HR team

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of recruitment within specified business area

  • Knowledge of employment law relevant to recruitment and selection e.g. Equality Act, GDPR, Right to Work in the UK

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, and ability to effectively manage competing priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
