Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity which will allow the right candidate chance to be part of a fast paced and challenging logistics environment working to maintain performance of the warehouse operations. The role will be working to meet the KPI requirements, ensuring high standards of processes, accuracy and quality are maintained and working to support the Shift Manager and two Warehouse Team Leaders in running the shift., Managing the inbound operation area to ensure high quality of standards.

Managing a small team of Admin Clerks, Reach Truck Drivers, Quality Checkers and Warehouse Operatives.

Ensuring that there is a 24 hour turn around period for any returns.

Inputting the weekly contractual KPI's that are presented to the customer.

Colleague Engagement - To actively promote & engage within CSR activities to ensure the morale & wellbeing of all colleagues is a site priority.

To be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and your colleagues by ensuring all tasks are carried out to the relevant procedures and by adhering to safe working practices at all times.

Ensure a high level of communication between colleagues and management is maintained and information flow is of the highest standard.

Maintain and promote both the companies and customers site cultures and values.

Ensure contractual customer service levels through the efficient running of the warehouse operation.

Ensure senior management are kept informed of all operational issues, in particular those that lead to service disruption or non-delivery.

Briefing the team at the beginning of each shift, to ensure that all operatives are fully communicated with about work patterns for the day.

Train and develop operational staff.

Essential:

Excellent leadership and management skills

Proven communication skills - Internally and externally

Experience within a third-party logistics business

Experience of managing a team of up to 20 people

Desirable:

Good IT Skills - Excel and Word

Minimum 2 years as a Warehouse/ Logistics Manager
