Internal Finance Manager

We are looking for someone with previous experience of internal financial management within an accountancy or finance practice.

Duties will involve:

• Managing the company bookkeeping across the 3 legal entities and keeping the bank reconciled at all times


• Analysing revenue, work in progress and recovery by client


• Analysing client performance by recoverability


• Managing the debtor collection process


• Managing cash flow


• Preparing detailed monthly management accounts in excel with an aggregation of our 3 entities detailing a variance of actual performance against budget


• Preparing and keeping updated a forecast model


• Managing the work in progress balance


• Writing off work in progress when billed


• Managing supplier payments


• Managing the monthly payroll


• Reviewing weekly timesheets


• Assisting with the management of the on-boarding process and pipeline clients


• Assisting with ad-hoc projects as they arise, I also value the way I'm treated as an employee, I have a great Director Mike Bowker who leads the Wilmslow office and whom I report to, he's very supportive, we have a strong relationship and he seems to care about me and the rest of the team.   3 year's post-qualified experience. ACA, ACCA or CIMA


• A minimum of 3 year's experience working in an internal finance department of an accounting practice


• Proven experience of bookkeeping


• Experience of working on Xero, Iris, Brightpay and Modulr (preferable)


• Excellent communication skills

Well, the location is fab (important right!), right in the heart of Wilmslow, good for lunches and shopping and not far from M & S and John Lewis always a bonus! The mix of staff is great too, the office is lovely, it has a great atmosphere, very laid back. It really feels like a family, not too big so everybody is close. The days go by quickly with office banter flying around, time flies when you are having fun!!
