Full Job Description

HMP Ashfield is a category C male prison based in Bristol. The operational capacity is for 412 prisoners and it takes a whole team of people to keep the facility safe, secure and in proper working order. Serco provide a safe, decent, secure and respectful environment.

As the Interventions Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the successful administration of Interventions and Psychology provision at HMP Ashfield. You will assist the department in the delivery of accredited interventions programmes by providing administration support to ultimately reduce the likelihood of reoffending and prepares prisoners for a successful return to the community.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

- Ensuring that the details of all new receptions at HMP Ashfield are added to the local database. Contact logs for each prisoner must be opened for each new reception.
- Preparing information for monthly Sentence Planning Reviews
- All files are created in a timely manner. All information is requested and added to each prisoner file. (PNC/Depositions/OASys)
- Ensuring that every contact and email in relation to every offender is captured in contact logs and Nomis.
- Managing Prisoner Files
- All files should be archived and forwarded to other establishments in line with Data Protection Guidelines within set time periods.
- Attend Post Programme reviews and minute the meetings
- Liaise with the Resettlement Manager with regards to booking PPR's. Invite attendees to meetings. Minutes are recorded and produced in a timely manner.
- Ensure copies of Post Programme Reports and review minutes are distributed to the offender and all relevant staff members, ensuring that these are filed/saved appropriately.
- Update local and national databases with new arrivals and departures from the establishment.
- Produce monthly audits of the prementioned tasks to ensure that quality service is being provided and that this can be shown with consistent data.
- Working in accordance with all statutory, Home Office, company and department requirements (these include, but are not limited to, Health & Safety, Race Relations, Suicide Awareness, Security policies and procedures).
- To assist in other area(s) of the prison when instructed and directed by Senior management

This is an opportunity for an individual who has demonstratable experience working within a busy administrative environment. Having some recent experience of minute taking is essential. The successful post holder must be confident in working with data as it is a key part of this role.

The post holder must be highly organised, have good analytical skills and have the ability to effectively manage their time. They must have excellent computer and typing skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. It is vital that they have excellent written skills and be able to communicate well at all levels., Disability Confident
