Full Job Description

We are recruiting an IT Support Apprentice to join our IT team in our Ipswich office. Reporting to the Infrastructure Support Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering 1st line technical support across the group of businesses. This will include assisting the IT Service Desk in all areas of user and desktop support.,

  • Provide assistance 1st line technical support to staff in providing IT support to the Fred. Olsen businesses.

  • Effectively use service desk tools to manage service desk requests.

  • Assist and guide users where required.

  • Field service desk calls and email messages.

  • Maintain a high level of customer service.

  • Escalate issues to colleagues where applicable., This is an Apprenticeship; the successful candidate will work towards the Information Communications Technician Level 3 standard qualification which has an estimated course duration of 18 months and will include a day release for training.

    As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to work to provided timescales. We are keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about IT and technology. As the IT Support Apprentice, you will have a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow with a team of supportive individuals who are professionals and have a passion for the industry., Communication skills, IT skills, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, GCSE or equivalent English and Math's (Grade 9-4 (A-C)) Desired
