Full Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join an established, forward thinking and responsive team. You'll help to enhance an existing busy team, bringing continuous professionalism and knowledge to the service provided to our prestigious customers.

Day-to-day, you'll provide first/second line support for bespoke/niche systems, including incident management, system commissioning, provision of technical advice and asset/system management.

This role is full time, 37-hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch in Tewkesbury.

  • A methodical approach to tasks and the ability to follow process, with attention to detail

  • A knowledge and application of IT system build and development

  • Sound judgement capabilities, to inform decision-making processes (sometimes under pressure) based on a variety of information


  • We are ultimately looking for someone with a passion for IT who is enthusiastic and eager to learn and we will provide the necessary training for the right applicant. However, experience in the below would be beneficial:

  • Linux administration

  • Virtualisation management (VMWare)

  • Windows administration

  • Active Directory and authentication administration

  • System data flow

  • ITIL service manager

  • ITIL asset manager

  • Problem solving / troubleshooting experience


  • Qualifications for the IT Support Specialist
  • Hold a degree in a relevant IT subject (or equivalent)

    The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting security clearance for this role.
