We've an opportunity for a Claims Auditor to join our Claims team, based nationwide, you'll expand your knowledge of audit and how critical it is to AXA. The Claims Audit team's mission is to provide Claims senior management with an objective view of the effectiveness of the control framework across the Claims organisation and our outsourced activities.

You'll lead, support and carry out audits of AXA's external Claims suppliers, providing direct feedback and driving improvement. You'll also carry out audits of AXAs Internal Claims functions which support the business to evaluate claims handling and ensure compliance with Group guidelines and Internal Controls.

What you'll be doing:

  • Undertake detailed preparation and planning work ahead of audits.

  • Complete audits, whether as a support or lead Auditor, to measure claims handling services and protect AXA and our customers from detriment.

  • Review audit results and provide feedback to Operational Management and Relationship Managers, contributing towards AXA strategy ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Liaise and develop relationships with Claims Relationship Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Operational Managers and Best Practice stakeholders etc. to formulate audit action plans and strategies.

  • Recommend and set corrective actions, reviewing closure evidence and action tracking to conclusion.

  • Interact with other auditing teams in AXA such as Conduct Auditors, GIA and Compliance Monitoring teams where required.

  • Support due diligence on potential new business, supporting distribution and identification of regulatory breaches.

  • Act as a referral point for operational departments on audits of Suppliers/ Delegated Authorities controls.

    Screening & Conduct

  • Ideally holding CII qualifications or equivalent professional qualification or progress towards.

  • Up to date knowledge of FCA guidelines and directives such as complaints handling, The Consumer Duty etc.

  • Knowledge of regulations and their impact on the claims environment such as GDPR etc.

  • Awareness of claims handling best practice, Group standards and policies.

  • Ability to engage with Senior Managers and key stakeholders, challenge the status quo and promote and advocate change.

  • Good communicator, ability to lead meetings and deliver feedback.

  • Pragmatic and methodical approach to issue & risk identification, and problem solving by considering the bigger picture.

  • Able to work on own initiative whilst leading an audit, analysing data and report with attention to detail.

  • Analytical mind, a problem solver with decision making skills.
