Full Job Description

You will work alongside the Senior Merchandiser, with the support of Assistant Merchandiser in the collation of relevant data and analysing the information needed for range building, placing consumer buys, budget and stock optimisation., Reports

Create & update reports for the Merchandiser and business. Assess the data provided to check the validity, relevance and accuracy of the data provided.

  • Manipulate the reports and analyse the information to formulate conclusions.

  • Input appropriate analysis attributes against products to enable reports to be generated.

  • Assist the Merchandiser with Monday sales reporting for the business.

  • Responsible for initial set up, and weekly update of stock & sales reports & supporting the Merchandiser to derive commercial decisions based on this analysis.

  • Responsible for Consumer/Consignment sales reporting. Updating & building analysis of performance & distributing to the wider business.


  • In Season Trading
  • Provide Ad-Hoc reports & analysis at the request of the Merchandiser & the wider business.

  • Work closely with Ecommerce & Marketing teams to action any price changes & status changes of products.

  • Support the Merchandiser in building Off-Price packages for Trade.

  • Build ranges (at Gender/category level) for promotional activity & markdown.

  • Work alongside the Merch team to manage the accuracy of data in MNP.

  • Regularly reviewing stock reports for all sales channels (at Gender/category level) - feedback analysis to the Merchandiser in a timely manner.


  • Range Planning
  • Create Seasonal Option Plans by Category, age and gender (monitor options vs plan through the range building process)

  • Work with Merchandiser to build seasonal Range Plans.

  • Provide necessary Trend Analysis (to include Seasonal Best Sellers) to support Buyers/Designers in making sound Buying/Design decisions.

  • Work with Merchandiser, Buying Team and Trade Sales Manager to decide seasonal buy quantities (using Trade best sellers for guidance and previous sales performance and sell throughs).

  • Build PO template to support Buying in placing of seasonal supplier purchase orders.

  • Provide all size ratios for Consumer, Trade (additional to pre-order) & consignment purchases, based on previous performance.


  • Ad-Hoc Reports
  • Support the maintenance of updating, monitoring and maintaining data sources to ensure information is updated for ad hoc and routine reporting purposes. Work with reports to improve efficiency of the department.

  • Support with the raising of new product codes, descriptions and barcodes in agreed format.

  • Provide support/cover for Assistant Merchandiser on Consignment/Consumer as needed (Sales reporting, stock management, booking deliveries and replenishment packages).
