Junior Sous Chef

The Grand Hotel in Torquay, has a great opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join the friendly team.

40 hours per week, Mon-Sun over 5 days.

We are looking for a new member to join our warm and welcoming kitchen team in our lovely 4 star hotel, along the stunning Torbay.

You will have exceptional people skills and be able to exceed guest expectations whilst delivering the highest quality food.

In supporting our Head Chef with kitchen duties you will also help to support and train the team, help with team recruitment, staffing levels, discipline and absence management, so experience in these areas would be preferred (but is not essential)

You will need to have excellent knowledge of service delivery standards and how to operate within agreed budgets.

Previous experience in a similar role Desirable

Ability to deliver food to a high standard consistently Essential

Good levels of man management, with abilities to drive and motivate a team Essential

A flair and enthusiasm for cooking Essential

A positive approach to menu planning and development of the menu Essential

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Essential
