Full Job Description

The Kettle House is our in-house canteen that serves our employees, visitors and organises the catering for any hospitality
events we might have. We are looking for a Catering Supervisor who can bring their experience and leadership to our ever evolving
department.

What will I be doing?

This will be a hands-on role and part of your duties will include preparation and cooking of breakfast, lunch and catering for
functions & events. You may be involved in menu planning, creating recipes, and determining quantities to be cooked to ensure good
food availability whilst minimising waste. Other duties include

  • Responsible for assisting the Catering Manager to provide a 7-day in-house operation including breakfast, lunch, afternoon

  • service, hospitality, large functions and vending service within a team of 16 staff.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed for the food service management system to maintain a five-star food hygiene rating.

  • Ensure all the team are complying with the company Health & Safety systems.

  • The role will include one day at weekend whereby you will Supervise and oversee the weekend service, providing a breakfast on a

  • Saturday OR breakfast & hot lunch snack service on Sunday.
  • Weekends will involve supervising a small team of five, opening & closing the unit & cash reconciliation.


  • The role will require some flexibility to cover annual leave and absence at short notice.

  • The ability to empower and lead a team

  • Ability to build relationships and promote a positive work environment

  • City & Guilds in hospitality L2 or equivalent

  • City & Guilds in Hospitality Supervision or relevant experience

  • L3 Food Safety or willing to work towards

  • First Aider or willing to work towards

  • Preferably IOSHH qualified or willing to work towards
