G-Research is going through an exciting period of growth and transforming the way we run and build platforms. As part of our transformation, we are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our expanding Core Compute Platform Engineering team.

As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will help grow the platform, owning its design and build, as well as being responsible for monitoring performance. You will help the team deliver a fully featured, secure platform and enable the business to deploy applications, which are critical to our success.,

  • Enhancing our Kubernetes compute platform through diverse project contributions

  • Elevating platform reliability and user satisfaction, while improving integration with third-party solutions

  • Forging standards and best practices in partnership with platform and development teams, offering direct help for migrations and performing upgrades of key systems

  • Collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Kubernetes development experience

  • Development skills in Python or Go

  • Ideally a Linux Engineering, DevOps, Networking or SRE background

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
