Laundry Assistant

As a Laundry Assistant you will:

· Clean to a high standard all designated areas as per the normal cleaning and deep clean schedules for the Village

· Provide a comprehensive laundry service to the village for all personal and domestic laundry, according to the individual needs of residents and ensuring a good quality service always

· Store and distribute clean laundry to appropriate residents, or to their keyworker in relation the Lodge

· Be alert to hazards for self, other staff and residents and to report these immediately

· Provide routine maintenance, where possible, to equipment not in good working order and maintain records of this

· Dispose of all waste in an appropriate manner

· Experience of Laundry work

· Able to work to the required rota to support the service

· Training in the use of specialist cleaning equipment

· Experience in a care setting

· Basic Health & Safety

The Lodge is made up of five separate nursing and residential communities centred around beautiful secure gardens and our Market Square that offers our residents access to a cinema, café, hairdressers and activity hubs where a dedicated activities team host creative and dementia-friendly events., The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.

£11.50 an hour - Permanent, Part-time, Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
