Full Job Description

The Lead Application Consultant works as a consulting team lead or member and occasionally as an individual consultant on for-fee product implementation, enhancement, integration, conversion, business process enhancement or training projects. Participates in all phases of software implementation; requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, launch, and post go-live support. Conducts customer business analysis to map internal processes and areas for improvement which support Solifi solution recommendations and ensure successful implementations. Performs technical implementation tasks to deliver solutions that align with the overall design.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Define and document customer business functions and processes.

  • Consult with customers to map their business needs, current processes and operational procedures to Solifi products and identify any gaps.

  • Assist customers in harmonizing processes to Solifi products through configuration and process change

  • Develops requirements according to standard guidelines and identify common features for inclusion in product applications.

  • Communicates with technical consulting team on customer business requirements enabling the development of a detailed and customized technical design.

  • Consults with more senior consultants to maximize implementation of the solution.

  • Configuration of base solution to meet customer requirements.

  • Validate customer solution through build verification testing.

  • Support customer in their testing through training, advising on test planning, triaging tickets, management of ticketing logs, explaining system use and changing configurations as appropriate. Where required, provide clarity and explanation where issues reported by the client are not defects.

  • Support for go live and hypercare activities which may require extended hours and out of hours working.

  • Provide input to Solifi Training Services to improve and tailor training materials for customers.

  • Deliver appropriate training to customer staff to enable them to make implementation decisions and conduct testing.

  • Planning, execution and testing of data migration using Solifi tools as appropriate. Support the customer in testing migration of data and resolving issues.

  • Consult with customer on mapping of integrations.

  • Support the release and deployment activities during projects through validating release, testing integrations and preparation of project specific release notes.

  • Accurate and timely time recording for all activities and escalation when time codes are not provided for work allocated.

  • Ensures targeted project deliverables, including configuration of functional solutions, development of test strategies, plans and risk assessments meet project deadlines.

  • Take all reasonable steps to achieve your individual utilisation target as agreed with management.

  • Using standard Solifi tools and work in accordance with Solifi methods and processes.

  • Participates in project planning and estimating.

  • Developing knowledge of broader product set and ability to work across solutions.

  • Participates in project test phases, launch, and post go-live support.

  • Provides task status and updates to the Project Manager.

  • o Use judgement to determine customer solution and mitigate risks
    o Produce accurate estimates for Professional Service opportunities
    o Provide content for SoW's
    o Make decisions about complex requirements and problems
    o Contribute to the improvement of Solifi implementation methods and processes
    o Review estimates for accuracy, completeness and to ensure the solutions proposed are cost effective and aligned with Solifi product strategy
    o Lead project/engagement, including ensuring teams follow structured methods and processes
    o Identify additional customer requirements and work with Customer Success and Sales Enablement to develop opportunities
    o Engagement and communication with senior customer and Solifi contacts
    o Assist in the development of other consultants knowledge and capabilities

  • Previous experience working in a Lead or Senior Application Consultant

  • Previous experience mentoring and coaching junior staff.

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of product centric strategies

  • You will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and communication techniques while working with senior stakeholders and clients.

  • Experience with a background in Asset Finance or within the Finance industry would be beneficial, in lieu of finance industry experience, we would be looking for someone who has experience working on SDLC Projects.

  • Experience of technical skills and tools that allow you to perform analysis of design and system issues e.g. SQL Queries.

  • Ability to build relationships quickly with clients and have clear communication.

  • Strong testing and analytical skills.

  • Passion for accuracy and an eye for detail.
