Lead Dental Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Nurse to join our large multi-faceted dental practice. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-demand environment and is crucial for the efficient functioning of our practise.

The Head Nurse will oversee nursing staff and clinicians, ensure compliance with protocols, and deliver the highest quality of dental care to our patients. Due to the challenging and multi-dimensional aspects of this role, we highly prefer candidates with prior management experience, as well as proven competency in managing difficult situations effectively and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

· Recruitment and Selection: Work with management in job postings, interviewing, and finalising dental nurse hires.

· Onboarding: Create and further enhance our orientation programs for new hires, handling paperwork and initial training.

· Performance Management: Lead regular performance reviews with management, provide feedback, and suggest career growth avenues.

· Training and Development: Design training modules for new nurses and organise professional development opportunities.

· Leadership and Supervision: Guide and oversee the dental nursing team, assign tasks, and monitor daily activities.

· Equipment and Supplies Management: Handle dental inventory, liaise with suppliers, and ensure equipment maintenance.

· Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, ensure adherence to health regulations, and conduct periodic risk assessments.

· Communication and Collaboration: Act as the main communication link among dental nurses, promoting teamwork.

· Quality Assurance: Monitor clinic protocols, identify areas of improvement, and implement quality enhancement strategies.
