Full Job Description

  • Maintain a public profile across Devon, developing and fostering relationships in the community and offering impartial career advice that meets individual's skills, interests, and aspirations.

  • Have good digital skills to support learners and collegues both remotely and face to face.

  • Provide an excellent customer focused service that supports our learners onto the right course for them or appropriate signposting to other organisations.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, to find solutions to the barriers our learners face.

  • Foster a safe and inspiring learning experience.

  • Develop an understanding of learner needs, including those with physical or learning disabilities, and work with colleagues to enable information-gathering to support exam access arrangements to be in place, in a timely way.

  • Have effective communication skills across all media ensuring effective data management and confidentiality.

  • To participate and represent Learn Devon in marketing, learning and careers events.


  • Reporting into the CIAG Team Leader, the Learning Adviser team will work together to provide a professional service that enhances and supports the quality and delivery of Learn Devon. You will be actively involved in your own continuous professional development and be able to work planned evenings and occasional weekends. The ability to travel across the county is essential.
