Full Job Description

InstaVolt is the largest owner operator of rapid electric vehicle charging stations across the UK and we pride ourselves on customer experience and satisfaction. In this important role you will work with our in-house legal team on all legal matters, but primarily working with our partners to progress and complete leases in respect of our charging equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing areas of the UK legal team;

  • Providing support to the Head of Legal;

  • Assisting the team with queries and ensuring compliance with processes and procedures;

  • Leading meetings with the legal team;

  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory compliance and commercial property matters;

  • Reviewing, reporting and negotiating Contracts;

  • Providing training and support to the legal team;

  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks;

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases with the client's solicitor;

  • Carrying out of title review and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord's solicitor;

  • Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates;

  • Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project;

  • Experience of working in-house and leading team members is essential for this role. The suitable candidate will have at least 5 years PQE, primarily in commercial property and contract law.

  • Competitive salary - dependant on experience & qualifications

  • Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 Depending on experience.
