LILS / DB / HG - Personal Assistant - Poulton Le Fylde

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a young lady who is mother to a toddler child. No personal care is required but we are looking for someone with experience of working with Mother and child to develop independent living skills and confidence in accessing the community safely.
The support will include offering practical advice, support and prompting when undertaking day to day tasks in the home and in the community. This will include; help in preparing healthy meals, light domestic duties, shopping, budgeting, safety in the home and the community and attending appointments.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, however, the person MUST be willing to work alongside the mother so that she can meet her child's needs. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of working with parents with learning difficulties and ASD would be beneficial. A driver with a full clean license is needed as some transport support will be required.

There are 2 x part time positions for up to 10 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.00. 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme are provided.
