VF Corporation is looking to recruit a Logistics Specialist on a 9 month fixed-term contract. This position is based at our UK distribution centre in Bardon, Leicestershire, UK.

Let's Talk about the Role

As our Logistics Specialist you will be the primary go-to person for all inbound logistics flows for all active brands in EMEA from origin both to EMEA Distribution Centres and Direct to Customer (DC by-pass).

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Take the lead in delivering operational logistics transactions for the inbound logistics flow into EMEA Distribution centers & direct customers, covering all ship-modes (Ocean/Air/Express/Rail/Road).

  • Support the set-up of new carriers & continuously improve/maintain the relationship with incumbent carriers, by means of organizing Quarterly Business Reviews & peak season meetings.

  • Responsible for communicating day to day business activities and collaborating actively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support process improvement thinking by pro-actively sharing ideas, opportunities, and alternatives in all areas of Inbound Logistics.


  • Skills for Success

    You should be someone who is Customer Service orientated who has

  • A fine attention to detail and a thorough understanding of business requirements.

  • The ability to work under pressure and is able to optimize change management to react quickly on business requirements and changing priorities.

  • Good written and verbal communications skills, and an understanding of how to communicate with different audiences.

  • A strong analytical skill-set and Power BI experience.

  • Exposure to and knowledge of in-transit visibility tools (GT Nexus) and ERP systems such as SAP

  • An excellent team player who is equally happy to work autonomously.
